It is that first step into the Jordan that brings the power from God to do a thing that seems so difficult before. So this post is my first step of faith that God will provide the power. It's like signing a document or saying "I do". It is the now or never moment.
I am committing to read the Bible through in a year again and as a way of accountability, I will post an entry here every day to mark my progress. Thank you Mark Gates for the inspiration and thank you Thursday Morning Small Group for praying for me on this issue. And thank you Sunday School Class for giving me a New Living Translation Bible. Back when I was in school and having to write a term paper, I would motivate myself to begin writing by purchasing a shiny new pen. Funny how having a new tool makes you want to use it. Well, that may help a little bit to get things started but I know from experience that the real motivation comes from the blessings of tasting and seeing that it is good.
